Overview

This case presentation conference serves as a vehicle to improve current medical care and provide knowledge about recent patient cases.  Morbidity & Mortality data, Quality/Practice Improvement Data Guidelines, Hospital QA analyses ensure that this teaching modality is a productive venue for self-appraisal and to identify best practices by identifying errors and hazards in care while providing interventions and processes that will improve the quality of patient care.

Objectives

This activity is designed to:
  1. Promote a multidisciplinary and collaborative approach to the diagnosis, treatment and management of patients with difficult joint and spine disease.
  2. Apply evidence-based medicine to ensure the most appropriate clinical pathways for enhanced patient outcomes and continuous quality improvement.
  3. Advance the evaluation, treatment and management of patients through discussion of novel approaches and advanced therapies.
  4. Identify best practices by identifying errors and hazards in care while providing interventions and processes that will improve patient outcomes and the quality of patient care.
